Shane brings a comprehensive background in the construction industry. Gaining early hands-on experience within a family contracting business in carpentry, framing, masonry, plumbing, and electrical systems; Shane continued on to acquire an education in architectural engineering. With this broad experience, Shane brings a inimitable voice to design integration and the commissioning process. His work and passion are rooted in a belief that the buildings we design must continue to provide health, shelter, and inspirational environments – without negatively impacting our planet.

Karen brings over 25 years of Architectural experience on multiple building types. From museums and municipal projects to factory built homes, her commitment to environmental stewardship has brought her to continually seek better ways to integrate high performance practices into the design and construction process.  As Associate for Green Dinosaur, Karen has a team focus and is responsible for guiding the Integrated Design process to deliver high performance architectural services to our clients. Karen brings an exciting and sophisticated lens to complex work products.

Melanie has a background in environmental studies and planning. Her strong beliefs in environmental sustainability led her to pursue an education in energy management and design. Melanie is responsible for sustainability coordination supporting the greater team. With her understanding of building envelope and detailed approach to her work she has become a integral part of our energy simulation team. Melanie’s continued interest in building science and architecture pushes her to continue growing her knowledge base.

As a recent graduate in Environmental Management and Protection, Tia brings a fresh perspective to the Green Dinosaur team. Her undergraduate studies and internship work have provided her with a broad spectrum base understanding of sustainable practices. Tia currently supports our LEED® for Homes Provider organization, and contributes to project LEED® certifications. She is also expanding her abilities with energy modeling and energy use analysis. She hopes to contribute to a society that provides for the needs of today without compromising the needs of the future; sequentially making the world a better place.
